MISSION

Math for People Who Don’t Like Math

Simply put, our mission is to create Math for people who don’t like Math. Whether you love Math, hate it, are afraid of it, or anything in between, we’re here to help. We provide a safe, supportive space where anyone can learn, grow, and thrive in math.

However, just because we create Math for people who don’t like Math doesn’t mean we dumb it down. We believe everyone deserves access to challenging, thought-provoking problems. We move away from personalized learning systems that keep students from reaching higher-level concepts. Instead, we provide access to all levels of problems in a low-pressure environment where anyone can explore math at their own pace.

Supporting Teachers by Supporting Families

Teachers today are overwhelmed with more and more responsibilities, and teacher retention is at a critical point. We believe one of the best ways to support educators is by strengthening the support students receive at home and in their communities.

That’s why we focus on empowering parents and guardians with the tools and knowledge they need to help their students succeed. Studies show that students are significantly more likely to succeed in school when supported by involved family members and community members. Our goal is to ensure that everyone—whether at home or in the classroom—has the support they need to make a difference.

Strengthening Relationships to Foster Learning

We believe learning is most effective when relationships are strong. Without solid connections, both academic progress and personal growth are challenged. That’s why, in addition to math resources, we are committed to offering tools that help build and strengthen relationships. Whether between students and teachers, parents and students, teachers and administrators, and so on, strong relationships create an environment where learning thrives.
